OTTO E MEZZO is the purest expression of love for the cinema that I know of.

- Martin Scorsese

Sinopsis:

Considered to be one of the greatest films of all time, Federico Fellini’s 1963 classic Otto e Mezzo stars Marcello Mastroianni as Guido Anselmo, a film director creatively blocked from starting his next film, lost in series of dreams and fantasies from his childhood. The Durres Summerfest is deeply honored to welcome special guest Claudia Cardinale who plays the radiant, authentic muse that just might be Guido’s salvation. Martin Scorsese says “We all have a film that was a turning point, a personal touchstone. I suppose that Fellini’s Otto e Mezzo was mine. Fellini reinvented himself with this film and, in doing so, reinvented all that we knew as cinema. Otto e Mezzo showed us what it means to be an artist.”
